Ronald A. Kroll, D.D.S. : Meet the Team

The Doctors

Dr. Ron Kroll and Dr. Darcie Kroll graduated from Georgetown University, School of Dentistry in 1983. They have been practicing on the Monterey Peninsula since 1984. Both doctors attend extensive continuing education courses to keep up with the latest technology in dentistry. Dr.Kroll is Cerec certified with extensive courses in CAD CAM Dentistry. They have also had extensive implant training with a two year residency with 3i Implant Innovations and a two year residency with Nobel Biocare Implants. Dr. Kroll has taken countless hours of continuing education in cosmetic dentistry to help give you that beautiful smile you deserve. In their spare time, Dr. Ron and Darcie raise two children, enjoy camping, traveling and fly fishing.

Sandra Newby (Office Manager)

Sandra comes to us with over 20 years of experience in all aspects of dentistry. Besides being a Registered Dental Assistant, she is also skilled in answering all your insurance, billing and scheduling questions. Sandra lives in Carmel and enjoys walking on the beach, art, painting, water sports and her career! Please call Sandra with any inquiry you might have, and she will greet you with a friendly voice and help you any way she can! Sandra can also help you with making your visit affordable as she is a Care Credit expert. Sandra will be happy to help you with your treatment plan, and prioritize your needs.

Sonia Bachir (Registered Dental Assistant)

Sonia has been in the dental field for over ten years. Sonia attended Monterey Peninsula College where she received her Registered Dental Assistant state license degree along with a degree in dental radiology. Sonia is our certified Cerec designer, implant coordinator, and the best four handed assistant in all of dentistry! She loves to motivate and encourage people to keep a happy and healthy smile and is always willing to help with your dental needs. Sonia truly cares about our patients comfort and is always there with a pillow, warm blanket or video glasses to make your visit truly a pleasant experience. She has been living on the Monterey Peninsula for over 20 years and hails from Wales! She is very pleased to be part of the local healthcare community. Sonia also enjoys long walks and is a skilled photographer. Don't be surprised if she takes a before and after picture of your beautiful smile.

Kristen Ancalade (Dental Hygienist)

Kristen is new to the Monterey Peninsula. She comes from Visalia, California where she grew up on an almond farm! She loves Monterey and enjoys being closer to the beach. Kristen comes to us from an excellent hygiene program, SJVC in Visalia, in the Central Valley. She has a passion for helping people improve their oral health and keeping their smiles bright! Kristen enjoys meeting all of our patients, and I know you will be impressed by her professionalism and her gentle touch. Kristen loves her job, but she also enjoys the outdoors, mountain bike riding, hiking, wakeboarding, surfing and anything fun and exciting. She looks forward to many years on the Peninsula, working with Dr. and Dr. Kroll and helping to keep everyone's teeth healthy. Got floss?
